I love snacks, I love picking at food but I know that I can be a bottomless pit if I am not careful, and that for me will turn to an increase in body fat (the opposite of what I am trying to achieve just now!).

Also, I need to ensure I keep my protein level fairly high (this is part of my goal to drop some body fat) so this also needs to apply to any snacks I have.

So, here's a round up of my fave go-to snacks! These are snacks that I sometimes have in the daytime, in the evening, in the morning! No preference time for a snack, just love a snack!

1) Protein shake and a banana- about 250kcal of goodness and can help get me through a workout

2) High protein yoghurt- about a third of this pot is 132kcal and about 16g protein. Total 0% fat (or Aldi's much cheaper alternative) is higher in protein but is unflavoured!

Skyr Yogurt. Lemon.

3) 3 mini babybel light. Because cheese if life. 129 calories of awesome.

4) Protein bar- Holy crap- these are amazing- about 230kcal. Best kept for Saturday nights!

5) Vegi sticks and dip- Cucumber, celery, pepper and low fat hummous- or home made?? If you have the time or inclination!

6) Ryvita Crackerbreads and hunners and hunners of ham.

7) Boiled eggs- I used to be the most hated person on the train. 2 boiled eggs, peeled and munched like apples on the train. Hmmmmmm whiffy. Healthy, filling and stinking. Whats not to love? 2 medium eggs are about 130kcal.

8) Popcorn- I love love love love love love love love love popcorn! Make your own- use a wee red microwave contraption, but a wee bag of yummers popcorn can help a boring movie become a bit more exciting.

9) Crumpet's, I picked up these for 25p in the whoopsies section and wow!!! Had forgotted how amazing they are, heavy carbs but yum. 130kcal and delish- just don't latheron the butter.

10) Chocolate pudding- well, high protein natural yogurt, some chocolate protein powder and a couple rasps sitting on the top. Make it more interesting by whacking some chia seeds in there and chill for a couple hours! (DISCLAIMER- THIS DOES NOT TASTE LIKE A GU PUD, NOT IN ANYWAY WHATSOEVER!)

There you go, some healthish snack ideas. These are great if you're trying to lose body fat and lose weight.

Still struggling for ideas?

Cottage cheese- add some fresh fruit for a wee change

Natural yogurt mixed with protein powder

Pre-cooked chicken/ham chunks

Fruit- Apples, banana, orange, rasps, strawbs, so much to choose from
